After killing\/defeating a boss you get a huge sense of acomplishment and just draws you back, while i had some painful moments in this game, i enjoyed it in the long run. I definitely reccomend this game if you like difficulty and game similar to Rogue-likes but with a set toolkit and no RNG (Except for some boss attack patterns). It would probably a 9\/10 for me if i were to rate it.. I admit, after coming from its little brother, Mini-Dead, I was somewhat disappointed by Dead.I'd hate to sound like a smug, stuck-up prick, but my main gripe is that the bosses are hard, but not hard or fun enough for my tastes. Coming back to Mini-Dead, its bosses are rather easy as well as long as you're paying attention to what's happening, but it was challenging and fun because of its fast pace that resulted from its unique and innovative movement and control system, which could have led to more innovative bosses. It's unfortunate that Dead's controls is that of a twin-stick shooter; the locked movement speed meant it had to sacrifice fast pacing. Dead's bosses' patterns are also rather simple to memorise and therefore their attacks are easy enough to avoid.Granted, I've only beaten 6 out of the 10 bosses, but frankly, if 60% of the game wasn't engaging enough for me and the other 40% was, then I feel it would be very unfair to laud the game with praise based on that 40%.With that said, I do recommend this game. The previously-mentioned gripes were due to my personal tastes and preferences, but looking past that, I can see how this game can be more fun for someone else. I will just hope that they expand upon Mini-Dead and make a bigger Mini-Dead, which would place it in an awkward state for naming.. Take the Binding of Isaac, strip out all the levels and powerups, add a dodge - and only put in the bosses. That is DEAD in a nutshell.you have one attack, you have a dodge mechanic, and a healing mechanic - stand still ( you can shoot while doing this ) and your heath will recover. The bosses are pretty fun, and challenging.Might not be the most graphically impressive game, but the gameplay itself is solid and fun.Worth a go, especially for the low price.. game is good nuff said. Simple, elegant, brilliant. Like the best games, it's deceptively simple - you just move, fire and dodge, but the real innovation comes from the plethora of unique bosses which were clearly designed by someone with a deep love of Dark Souls.. A fun little game! Stumbled upon it while trying to get rid of four euros in my steam wallet, got intrigued by the concept of only boss fights. I love a challenge, and I love bossfights, so why not.Turned out to be a lot of fun. The dodge is a nice ability that makes it different from other bullet hell types of games I've seen and played. The way that you have to learn the movesets of the bosses through trial and error also gives it a Soulsborne vibe, in my opinion, which is great. And replaying bosses is quick, which means you won't get frustrated in the process. Solid soundtrack, solid boss design itself. A boss that I hated, Furnace, turned into my favorite of them all. The boss feels like a dance and the dodging in that fight especially gives me that feel that I loved in Bloodborne, but in pixel form. A lot of updates by the dev, fun gameplay and didn't encounter any bugs while playing. A solid game, totally worth it.. Fun but really hard and the puppeteer is confusing. Just look for the clocks. undertale but spook. I love this game, I just beat it and for $5 this game deserves to be more! Anyway, it was hard,it was fun, it had a great story, it made me rip my hair out, it made my heart beat so fast doctors are now concerned about my new resting heart rate. The small team that made this are great, I have played their games and I wish to see this team reach its full potential one day. Good job developers.. This game suuuuuucks if you think its anything like their fun ''demo'' game called mini dead you are so wrong because unlike mini dead where killing bosses is satisfying and fun in dead the bosses are boring and grindy there is nothing more to say about it other than mini dead feels like it was made with passion where as dead was made to make money so do not buy this game if you wanna play a fun boss rush game instead try to beat all three bosses at the same time in mini dead
